To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what was the average domestic rates bill per household in(a) 1979–80 and (b) 1988–89 for (i) Aberdeen, (ii) Dundee, (iii) Edinburgh, (iv) Glasgow, (v) Stirling and (vi) Scotland as a whole.

analysis indicating, separately, the amounts of receipts in respect of programme expenditure and of running costs expenditure estimated to have been met from other public expenditure programmes.
