§ Mr. WorthingtonTo ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will publish a further table in theOfficial Report, in the same format as the written reply of 7 July, Official Report, columns 733–34, on receipts classified as charges in respect of his programme expenditure over the years 1982–83 to 1990–91, indicating the receipts in respect of running costs expenditure together with a supplementary analysis indicating, separately, the amounts of receipts in respect of programme expenditure and of running costs expenditure estimated to have been met from other public expenditure programmes.
§ Mr. Ian StewartI refer the hon. Member to the reply 1 gave him on 7 July 1988, at columns733–34, for the information on charges in respect of programme expenditure. Information on the source of these receipts is not readily available but it is estimated that receipts to the Northern Ireland programme from other public expenditure programmes is minimal.
The information on receipts in respect of running costs expenditure for the years 1987–88 to 1990–91 is shown in the table; the information for the years 1982–83 to 1986–87 is not presently available in the same format and I will write to the hon. Member when the information comes to hand.
Receipts in respect of Northern Ireland running costs expenditure coming from other public expenditure programmes cannot be readily distinguished from receipts coming from one Department to another within the Northern Ireland programme. The figures shown in the secondary analysis in the table therefore contain both elements.
