§ Mr. WorthingtonTo ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster if he will publish in theOfficial Report a table, covering the years 1982–83 to 1990–91, which collates on the same basis (a) the non-capital receipts and expenditure account published in the annual report of the Comptroller-General of Patents Designs and Trade Marks, (b) the presentation of voted expenditure in the supply estimates and appropriation accounts for class V, Vote 2, section E (protection of innovation) and (c) the protection of innovation component in the support for industry line of table 5.1 of column 288.
§ Mr. ForthThe table shows the voted expenditure figures in the Supply Estimates and Appropriation Accounts for class V, vote 2, section E, for the years 1982–83 to 1988–89. Expenditure for the other years requested has not yet been voted. These figures cannot readily be collated on the same basis as the non-capital receipts and expenditure account published in the annual report of the Comptroller-General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks, because the financial information in this annual report is presented on a calendar year basis. The figures for the protection of innovation component in the support for industry line of table 5.1 of column 288 are the same as the net total figures in the table given here.
