HC Deb 29 July 1988 vol 138 c660W
Mr. Alan Williams

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales, pursuant to his answers to the hon. Member for Torfaen (Mr. Murphy) of 19 July,Official Report, column 564, how much of the £457 million to be spent on housing in the valleys is accounted for by expenditure allocated to housing within the planning totals set out in the public expenditure White Paper, and what is the figure for each year.

Mr. Peter Walker

Within the £457 million to be spent on housing in the valleys over the next three years, gross public expenditure is expected to be around £225 million. I anticipate that this amount will be spread more or less equally over the three years.
