To ask the Secretary of State for Transport if he has been approached by British Rail for assent to dispose of Gillespie sidings and Isleton road sidings at Finsbury Park station; and if he will make a statement.

No. Our policy is for BR to dispose of all surplus land as rapidly as possible. These are commercial matters for BR, and no specific approvals are required from us.
