To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster what has been the total by value and weight and country of origin of frogs legs imported into the United Kingdom to each year since 1980; and if he will make it his policy to ban any further imports.

Prior to 1988 frogs legs were not separately identified in the OTS.

For the period January to May 1988 imports of frogs legs were:

I have no immediate plans to ban imports of this product.
