HC Deb 28 July 1988 vol 138 c431W
Mr. Ron Davies

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales by what authority he gave retrospective consent to the siting of a slurry tank on Ciliau moor common.

Mr. Grist

[holding answer 21 July 1988]: In deciding whether to give my consent under section 23 of the National Trust Act 1971 to the siting of a slurry tank on Ciliau moor common I was not prevented from giving consent despite the fact that the works had commenced.

Mr. Ron Davies

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales whether work on the construction of a slurry tank on Ciliau moor common progressed during the time in which planning consent was being sought.

Mr. Grist

[holding answer 21 July 1988]: No planning consent was sought. I am informed by the local authority that no specific permission is required because permission is deemed to have been given under class 6 of the General Development Order 1977. I am unable to say whether work was in progress during the time I was considering the application under section 23 of the National Trust Act 1971 for consent to the siting of the slurry tank on Ciliau moor common.
