HC Deb 28 July 1988 vol 138 c391W
Ms. Walley

To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what measures he will introduce to provide for the regular safety inspections of new, existing and extended silage and slurry facilities.

Mr. Donald Thompson

Responsibility for farm safety rests with the Health and Safety Executive. During the course of its regular routine visits and inspections, HSE's agricultural inspectorate examines all aspects of health and safety including, where appropriate, machinery systems and plant such as slurry stores, silage tanks, and so on.
