To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will publish a table in theOfficial Report, in the same format as the reply of 7 July, Official Report, column 707–4, on receipts classified as charges in respect of his programme expenditure over the years 1982–83 to 1990–91, indicating the receipts in respect of running costs expenditure together with a supplementary analysis indicating, separately, the amounts of receipts in respect of programme expenditure and of running costs expenditure estimated to have been met from other public expenditure programmes.

The figures provided in answer to the hon. Member on 7 July 1988, at columns701–4, related to receipts in respect of programme expenditure. MOD running costs receipts anticipated for the period 1982–83 to 1990–91 are detailed in table 1:
