§ Mrs. Currie[pursuant to her reply, 27 May 1988, c. 419]: The number of letters we had received direct from members of the public about changes to services at St. Margaret's and the Herts and Essex hospitals proposed by West Essex health authority was about 250, not several thousand as stated. A petition with several thousand signatures was mistakenly included in the earlier total.
