To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if, in the light of the problems imposed on Senegal, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, Benin, Equatorial Guinea, Nigeria, Gabon and Congo by the disposal of toxic and hazardous wastes from EEC countries, he will make it his policy to secure additional United Kingdom donations to the United Nations environment programme special clean-up campaign.

The Government are increasing its financial support for UNEP by 25 per cent. For 1988 the United Kingdom's contribution to UNEP's environment fund will be £1.25 million.
