Mr. Tom Clarke

To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster if he will publish a table in theOfficial Report showing, in ranked order, the value and proportion of textile imports into the United Kingdom, on a country of consignment basis, for the latest year for which figures are available, indicating whether or not each country is a signatory to the multi-fibre arrangement.

The top 22 countries, representing nearly 90 per cent. of the total imports, from which textiles were consigned are shown in the table. A full list including the remaining 125 countries has been placed in the Library.
