§ Mr. LuceNew registrations have brought the number of authors registered with the public lending right scheme to over 16,200. I was pleased to be able to announce increased funding from 1988–89 bringing the fund to £3–5 million, an increase of 27 per cent.; and its highest level in real terms since the scheme was implemented.
