Mr. Tom Clarke

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will publish a table in theOfficial Report showing, in ranked order, for 1986 and 1987, the bilateral aid earmarked for technical co-operation paid to Nicaragua for each reporting member of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development's development assistance committee.

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what is the level of United Kingdom Government funding paid to development projects inside Nicaragua co-financed with British voluntary groups; and if he will list the voluntary groups, projects and individual sums awarded.

During the last complete financial year—1987–88—grants totalling £47,065 were paid under the joint funding scheme to British voluntary agencies in order to co-fund 10 of their development projects in Nicaragua. The details are:
