To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will give, for each health board, their additional allocation to fund the nurses' pay award.

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland pursuant to his reply to the hon. Member for Tayside, North (Mr. Walker) of 5 July,Official Report, column 522, how much money each health board is being allocated specifically to meet the full cost of the pay awards to doctors, nurses and other professional staff.

The sum of £92 million is being made available in Scotland to finance the full additional costs of all review body pay awards, including those to nurses. £6 million is required to meet costs in the family practitioner service and a total of £2.567 million has been allocated to the common services agency, state hospital and the National Board for Nursing, Midwifery and Health Visiting for Scotland. £83.433 million has been added to the hospital and community health service allocations of health boards as follows:
