(2) how many successful prosecutions were brought against persons wilfully stealing eggs or young and disturbing the nests of British birds of prey, during the latest year for which figures are available.
§ Mr. Douglas HoggThe information available which may be incomplete and which does not distinguish between British birds of prey and other wild birds, show 89 convictions in 1986 under section 1 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. Of these, 79 resulted in fines totalling £6,217 being imposed.
