Mr. Austin Mitchell

To ask the Prime Minister if she will list(a) her economic advisers and (b) the heads of her policy unit since 1979, and the salary and terms under which they were appointed.

The Prime Minister

The salaries payable on appointment from public funds of the officials concerned were as follows:

Apart from the one secondment from the private sector, all were appointed under the terms which apply to special advisers.
