Following publication of the report on the plant variety testing and seed certification systems in the United Kingdom for comment, representations have been received from the Institution of Professional Civil Servants at national and local level. Officials have also met the Scottish Office trade union side to discuss the report. The future of East Craigs seed testing station is a matter for my right hon. and learned Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland.
