Earl FerrersThe results of the eight pilot bail information schemes have been encouraging. Discussions are now underway with the Association of Chief officers of probation, the Crown Prosecution Service, and the Association of Chief Police Officers, to look at ways of developing further schemes. My right honourable friend the Home Secretary will report the outcome of these discussions when they are complete.
