Dr. ThomasTo ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he has had any contact with his counterparts in the United States of America or Soviet Union since the recent Moscow summit on the prospects and arrangements for conveying to the Soviet Union the details of yields of United Kingdom nuclear tests conducted at the United States nuclear test site at Nevada.
§ Mr. MellorThere has been no such contact. But the United Kingdom already publicly notifies all nuclear tests which it conducts. These are of a kilotonnage which falls within the limits set by the so far unratified bilateral United States/Soviet threshold test ban treaty.
