To ask the Attorney-General if he will publish a table of the number of appeals to the immigration appeal tribunal allowed and dismissed in 1987 and in the first quarter of 1988.

To ask the Attorney-General if he will publish a table showing the number of appeals to immigration adjudicators allowed and dismissed in 1987 and in the first quarter of 1988, broken down according to the nationality of the appellant and the type of decision appealed against.

The Attorney-General

The immigration appellate authorities record the nationality of appellants to the adjudicators in only five categories: appellants from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, EEC countries, and all other countries. They record 15 categories of appeal type. The figures sought, broken down in these categories, are shown in the tables.
