Who are the present members of the Crown Estate Paving Commissioners; how are they appointed; how many meetings each commissioner has attended to the last convenient date; and what redresss against the paving commissioners' rate demands is available to Crown Estate tenants.

The present Crown Estate Paving Commissioners are:

The Crown Estate Paving Commissioners are appointed by the Lords Commissioners of the Treasury on the recommendation of the existing commissioners. The commissioners maintain records of those attending their meetings but it is not their practice to publish this information.

If any Crown Estate tenant is aggrieved about the paving commissioners rate demands then he may lodge his complaint with the Commissioners. Details are set out in the Act of Parliament 5 George IV CAP 100 1824 section CXIV. A copy of the Act should be available in the Library.
