To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will state the length of time given for representations to be received in response to the 20 most recent consultative documents issued by his Department.

Of 21 consultative documents issued by my Department since February 1988, four gave a suggested period for response of three months, two of two and a half months, four of two months, one of seven weeks, six of six weeks, one of five weeks, two of four weeks and one of three weeks.
