Mr. Frank Field

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what is the number of domestic consumers who have been disconnected from their water supply in each water authority in England, Scotland and Wales in each of the last five years for which figures are available.

The information requested by the hon. Member has been collected by the Department for water authorities only since 1984–85 as part of the water authorities' annual charges returns. Information on statutory water company disconnections is not collected by the Department.
