§ Mr. ButcherAround 140 bodies bid to become hosts for signposters under the business and education initiative, some bidding to provide a service in more than one LEA area. Of these, 30 were received from bodies intending to536W operate in the north-west and two applications related to the Bolton local education authority area. It is not possible to say how many bids will be successful as discussions with applicants are not yet complete but it is expected that there will be a host body operating in signposter services in nearly every LEA in the United Kingdom.
