§ Mr. MellorIn 1986 the Executive Council of the Falklands Islands agreed that the United Kingdom building regulations should be adopted as guidelines for housing standards by the colony's building committee. These cover external noise. The public works department uses British standards for lighting. No separate housing standards on the Falkland Islands apply specifically to migrant workers.
