Mr. Speller

To ask the Secretary of State for Energy (1) whether the Monopolies and Mergers Commission will be given full access to the complete Manley report of 1984 during the forthcoming inquiry into the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority;

(2) whether the Monopolies and Mergers Commission will be given full and open access during its forthcoming inquiry into the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority to (a) the Fitzsimmons report (1983) into financial mechanisms used by the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority, (b) the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority FBR report (1983) into the future of the fast breed reactor, (c) the Peat, Marwick and Mitchell report (1982) into the efficiency and economy within the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority and (d) the internal DEA report (1982) into the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority fast reactor programme.
