asked Her Majesty's Government:

How much money has so far been raised by the Greater London Residuary Body and the individual metropolitan county residuary bodies from the sale of public assets and how much of this has been dispersed to the appropriate London boroughs and metropolitan district councils.

Final figures for 1987–88 in respect of (a) capital money received by residuary bodies from disposals and (b) the amount of capital receipts distributed by residuary bodies to the appropriate local authorities will not be available until the accounts have been audited and certified. However, figures for 1986–87 and estimates for 1987–88 are shown in the tables below:
