HC Deb 18 July 1988 vol 137 c495W
Mr. Dalyell

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if Her Majesty's Government will make available to(a) the Iranian inquiry and (b) the American inquiry into the shooting down by USS Vincennes of an Iranian airliner, the intercepts of radio traffic relating to that aircraft; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Ian Stewart

A recording of warnings heard on the civil distress frequency at the time of the incident has been passed to the United States Government. Although international distress frequencies are widely monitored and this information is likely to be available from many sources, any such request from other interested authorities would be carefully considered.
