§ Mr. Peter MorrisonOur day-to-day contacts, many of which are through the Department's regional energy efficiency officers, indicated a general increased awareness of the value of surveys. We also took account of research undertaken by the European Commission in the north-west and north-east of England, and the evidence of our follow-up inquiries of applicants who had benefited from grant-aided surveys.
