To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will list the directors of the Manchester urban development corporation, their remuneration and details of any elected office they have held or hold.

Mr. Trippier

The membership and annual remuneration of the board of the Central Manchester development corporation is as follows:

  • Chairman: Dr. James Grigor (£14,223).
  • Deputy Chairman: Mr. Derek Boothman (£6,436).
  • Members: Mr. Ken Alford, Mrs. Deborah Buchanan, Mr. John Collins, Councillor Jack Flanagan, Mr. Raymond Gerrard, Councillor Mrs. Joyce Hill, Mr. Bob Scott, Councillor Graham Stringer (each £3,770).

The three councillors are members of Manchester city council. No other board members currently hold elected office.
