§ Mr. Simon HughesTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will list the dates of (i) all meetings since 25 February 1983 between officials of his Department and officers of the London borough of Southwark to discuss the Bonamy estate and (ii) all correspondence(a) from his Department to the London borough of Southwark and (b) from the London borough of Southwark to his Department in relation to the Bonamy estate; if he will list all moneys granted by his Department to the London borough of Southwark for expenditure on the Bonamy estate; if he will list all expenditure approved by his Department and all permission to spend approved by Department in relation to the Bonamy estate; and if he will publish all relevant correspondence.
§ Mr. WaldegraveSince 25 February 1983 meetings have taken place on 13 July 1983, 13 September 1983, 9 March 1984, 28 August 1984, 15 November 1984, 26 August 1985, 9 May 1985, 21 August 1985, 25 February 1986 and 4 November 1986.
Since 25 February 1983 capital expenditure of £0.3 million has been approved (30 September 1985) with eligibility for subsidy at 75 per cent. of the loan charges.
Other than housing subsidy, no Exchequer grants have been paid.
My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for the Environment has no plans to publish the correspondence about the Bonamy estate.
