To ask the Secretary of State for Energy if he will make a statement on Her Majesty's Government's plans for future public funding of the fast

reactor programme at (a)The United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority laboratories at Windscale. (b)The authority's laboratories at Harwell and (c)The authority's nuclear power development establishment at Dounreay, in the light of proposals by the authority's chairman to seek private funds for fast reactor development.
