Mr. Corbett

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will take steps to encourage Her Majesty's Customs and Excise to reduce its demand for on-board customs and immigration facilities on Channel tunnel through trains due to serve places including Birmingham International and Birmingham New Street to a level more in line with the half-coach requirement of European operators of trans-national services.
