HC Deb 15 July 1988 vol 137 c401W
Mr. John M. Taylor

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what representations he has received about encouraging breweries, publicans and licensing justices to co-operate with local police in identifying troublemakers in public houses and premises where under-age drinking takes place, with a view to combating alcohol-related public disorders.

Mr. Douglas Hogg

We have received no specific representations, but we endorse the need for the brewers, licensees, courts and the police to work together to curb the problems of disorderly conduct and under-age drinking. We shall stress the importance of co-operation in forthcoming meetings and in guidance to be issued shortly by the Department.
