HL Deb 12 July 1988 vol 499 c818WA
Lord Harris

of Greenwich asked Her Majesty's Government:

What arrangements they have made to ensure that convicted prisoners, held in police cells, receive their discharge grants and travel warrants when they have completed their sentences.

The Minister of State, Home Office (Earl Ferrers)

We are considering urgently what arrangements might be made in the few cases where prisoners complete their sentences while still in police cells.
