§ Mr. Tom ClarkeTo ask the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will publish a table in theOfficial Report showing, for each local health authority in England and Wales, the total number of occupational therapists, the number per 1,000 of the population, and the number per 1,000 of the population aged over 65 years, over 75 years and over 85 years.
§ Mr. NewtonThe table shows the number of occupational therapists in each district health authority and the rate per 100,000 population. It would not be meaningful to provide the ratio of staff to population in specific age groups as occupational therapists provide care to patients of all ages. Figures for Wales are a matter for my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Wales.
