§ Mr. ScottI recently announced in my reply to the hon. Member for Derby, South (Mrs. Beckett) on 7 June at column575 that the first report from the Office of Population Censuses and Surveys on its surveys of disabled people will be published in September and that further reports will follow in 1988 and 1989. As the results of the surveys become available, we shall be considering their implications for benefits for disabled people. This consideration is likely to include the question of different types and rates of benefit for people disabled in different circumstances.
