§ Mr. EggarThe Diplomatic Service participated in the recent voluntary ethnic monitoring survey for London and the south-east. Of those who have responded, only one serving member of the administrative group was identified as belonging to an ethnic minority with antecedents in the Afro-Asian Caribbean Commonwealth.
The Diplomatic Service started ethnic monitoring of recruitment in 1987. In 1987, no recruit to the administrative group came from the category mentioned.
