HL Deb 11 July 1988 vol 499 c701WA
Lord Northfield

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether, in view of the complexities of the Firearms (Amendment) Bill, they will ensure that a revised edition of the Firearms Act 1968 is published in statutes in force as soon as possible after the Bill has received Royal Assent.

The Minister of State, Home Office (Earl Ferrers)

A cumulative supplement to that part of the statutes in force covering Firearms and Explosives, incorporating textual amendments to the Firearms Act 1968, will be produced as soon as possible after the Firearms (Amendment) Bill receives Royal Assent. A consolidation of the legislation will also be considered after Royal Assent.
