§ Mr. Matthew TaylorTo ask the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will make a statement on his Department's policy regarding community hospitals in rural areas in the light of the report from the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly local medical committee entitled "The Community Hospital Review for the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Health Authority".
§ Mrs. CurrieI understand that the review of community hospitals, produced by the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly health authority, is to be considered by South Western RHA through its own working party on the role and future use of community hospitals. It would be inappropriate to comment on a locally prepared report before the RHA has been able to examine it in detail.
