§ Mr. EggarMy right hon. and learned Friend visited the Philippines from 27–29 May. He had useful and cordial discussions on a wide range of topics with President Corazon Aquino and members of her Cabinet, including Foreign Secretary Raul Manglapus. The visit served to improve the already good relations between the United Kingdom and the Philippines, and to promote the interests of British exporters.
