(2) if he has any plans to encourage the harmonisation of school terms and holidays between the United Kingdom and other members of the European Community; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. DunnThe information requested is not available. My right hon. Friend has no plans to encourage 501W harmonisation dates within the European Community. In England and Wales, responsibility for determining these matters rests with local education authorities and governing bodies of schools and the Government have no plans to change these arrangements.
