§ Mr. Peter BottomleyWe shall require all new motorway service areas to provide unleaded petrol. Of the 42 existing ones, 24 already provide it. This total is expected to rise to 36 by the end of the year following the approach we made to operators last year. We hope to persuade the operators of the remaining six areas to make unleaded fuel available. There are 9 million cars which already or with simple adjustment can save money by using it.
