§ Mr. Michael Forsyth[holding answer 4 July 1988]: I have received 22 letters about the funding of the Myalgic Encephalomyelitis Association in Scotland in the last few months. The association already knows that it has not proved possible to pay a grant in 1988–89, but the case for the following financial year will certainly receive careful consideration if an application is made at the appropriate time.
