§ Mr. Freeman[holding answer 20 June 1988]: A comprehensive programme of fire protection improvements has been developed for military stores. These include dispersal of the more valuable stocks and compartmentation of storage buildings together with the introduction of enhanced detection and suppression systems, although the value of the latter would be limited in buildings where the contents are stacked intensively with high racking.
