§ Mr. Michael SpicerI recently announced an extended second phase of the Mersey barrage feasibility studies costing £1.3 million, jointly funded with the Mersey Barrage company. This brings the total Government support for the project to £951,000. The studies will further examine engineering, economic and environmental aspects and will be completed in about two years.
