Dr. Cunningham

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment how many management extension programmes were organised by the Manpower Services Commission in Keswick during 1987; which host firms participated; how many weeks each management extension programme lasted; how many participants found permanent employment within six months of completing their management extension programmes; and how many participants found permanent employment with their host firm.

[holding answer 29 June 1988]: The management extension programme started in 1980. The statistics requested are only available for the years from 1985–86 and are set out below.
