§ Mr. MellorWe were not hitherto aware of this case which I understand is being pursued by the Student and Academic Campaign for Soviet Jewry. We regularly raise similar cases with the Soviet authorities. The recently established mechanism of bilateral human rights talks will provide further opportunities to make our concerns known.
