§ Mr. BrookeUniversity teaching and research staff can enter all competitions run by the Civil Service Commission on behalf of Government Departments, provided they meet the eligibility criteria established for individual schemes. All recruitment competitions are widely advertised and candidates are selected on merit, on the basis of fair and open competition. The Civil Service advertises vacancies in many disciplines, including lecturer and research officer, without an age limit.
